REEL supports the water research service in Rhineland-Palatinate with tried-and-tested antenna housings

Reliable communication: antenna solutions for the water industry

The Hydrological Service of the Structural and Authorisation Directorate North in Rhineland-Palatinate is responsible, among other things, for water management in its area of responsibility, in which topics such as flood protection and prevention are dealt with. Permanent documentation of groundwater levels is essential for this. However, many measuring points are located below the surface, which makes communication much more difficult. REEL utilises one of the oldest antenna housings, which has proven to be very suitable for underground applications.

Early warning systems of the future: REEL antennas optimise groundwater measuring point monitoring

The REEL antennas are used to transmit measurement data to groundwater measuring points.

The groundwater values from the road to the top of the groundwater table are determined once an hour. The comparative values can be used to recognise long-term trends and the measuring points can serve as an early warning system.
