Netmodule produces and sells industrial routers for M2M and IoT communication. The routers are primarily used in the areas of transport, local and long-distance public transport and Industry 4.0. This means that the antennas used must be just as diverse as the customer applications. It is precisely this diversity that is REEL's strength, meaning that both companies can look back on a long and successful collaboration.
Due to the large number of possible applications, various types of antennas are in use, which must fulfil a number of requirements with regard to use in local and long-distance traffic. On the one hand, applications often require a high bandwidth, which is why so-called MIMO (multiple input, multiple output) antennas are frequently used.
These enable somewhat double the data transport compared to single antennas. On the other hand, local and long-distance traffic has special guidelines regarding the fire behaviour of the materials used. REEL uses special housing materials to fulfil the requirements of ECE-R 118.
